I know at least two PJ nuts that would party like rock stars if that show was announced.

Sadly, we don't really have a great venue for it here. I'd rather the new amphitheatre in St. Augustine or Metro Park/the arena in Jacksonville if there's going to be a PJ show in north Florida.

    You from Tally?

I just recently moved to Thomasville, so Jackonsville, Atlanta, or St. Augustine would all be within my radius to see a show, though a Tallahasse stop would be bad ass. I guess it would have to be at the Leon County Civic Center, though I understand neither the venue or the city would be an attractive stop...but hey, with so many people calling for a tour of the south, if they made only a few stops, maybe enough southerners would make the trip enough to pack out Doak Campbell....

    Now THAT would be awesome...

TLH representin'. Me AND LukinFan. Probably a couple more, but I haven't made much contact with them. Maybe we should all have a weekend get-up or something.

The University would never allow a show @ Doak, nor would PJ want to play there. The Tucker Center (Civic Center) is the right size, but the acoustics are terrible since the remodel several years ago. I always thought they should play there so they could shout up the hill at the Capitol and those who work there. But it's not a good concert town, from a lot of different ways of looking at it.

Welcome to Thomasville. My wife worked in the hospital there most of last year. Beautiful little town.

    Hey Lukin Fan,

West Palm, usually twice? Back in 1998 yes...sold out both nights...!!!

2000, 1st show not sold out, 2nd show, I was there... Eddie reference for a a "crowd this size"

the reserved seating was not sold out, under half full, the lawn was sparse nice FL representation...dont get me wrong it was a great show..

they came back in 2003, one night in April at what is it, Coral Sky?? SoundAdvice? Etc??? ONE NIGHT, Did not sell out , and the Tampa 2003 was half empty on the upper deck unlike the 2000 Tampa show which was sold out even behind the stage...

South Fl is a poor music market, (too many old folks) that is why PJ ignored it on the Avacado tour...they will probably play Jacksonville next time...they have not been there in a while...

If they do come back to South Fl, it will probably be Coral Springs or Tamarac to play Century Village or Kings Point...Have fun

Agree about Tampa '03. Very disappointing to see a nearly empty upper level.

Disagree slightly about Jacksonville. I think they WILL play there at some point in the near future. Jeff wrote in a Deep magazine or 10C newsletter a list of skate parks he wanted to visit; JAX's was on his list. However, I don't believe Pearl Jam has ever played that area (Savannah, JAX, St. Augustine).

What are Century Village and Kings Point? Never heard of those. I'd bet there will be a Miami-proper show next time they hit FL. Too many years have passed since.

Rhino Magic, Agreed about Jacksonville, remember Jeff beaming over the skate partk that is where I said they are most likely to play next time, and they are still close to Atlanta etc without dipping too far south, "most" acts are ignoring South FL, Tampa and Orlando are still viable...but Miami, West Palm, are finished, unless you are Bon Jovi or Nickelback etc...

Didn't U2 and Red Hot Chili Peppers both play Miami on their last tours?

I would think the heavy Latino population might help a show like that succeed in Miami...Perhaps I'm wrong about it.

Not sure about the Latino population down there? Just talking about PJ not feeling the love in FL the last few years down there, and why FL was snubbed on the last tour. Why if they go back they may only play Jacksonville and Ford in Tampa...

On a side note the PJ Ft Laud 96 show was incredible!

Yes to JAX and Ford Amphi in tampa.

And YES to Ft. Lauderdale in '96. We drove through a hurricane to get there from Tallahassee. And it was SO worth it!

But Kissimmee was packed to the rafters and full of energy in '04. I think they felt the love that night in the Silver Spurs Rodeo Arena.

Maybe because it was the only Florida show that time around?

I went to VFC Asheville show just a couple nights prior, maybe the loudest PJ show I have ever been too, Blood was amazing, and they played Smile! Packed as well, extremely tough ticket, I wanted to make it down to Orlando...

Hey! I drove through that same hurricane :)

And about the Tampa 03 show, I was kind of glad that it didn't sellout, because the wife and I didn't decide to go until about a week before the show- we sat upper level, but hey, it was a great show!

I didn't decide until a day or two before and we bought tickets the day of the show from the box office. Seats were in the lower level risers.

It was a good show. I especially remember the Hide Your Love Away pre-set.
