devil's touch

and the sky opened up
crying for all of mankind
the mother fell silent
her children prone to greed, lies, and lust
an overwhelming feeling of sadness
crashed over him like a wave made of failure and loss

the flowers stand dead in dirty water
now a distant memory
washed in shades of red and gray
as the sorrow of a lifetime
falls silent for the first time
while basking in their beautiful decay

hidden meanings and tarot readings
laced through rules and verse
I know my future, and know how I will go
the dreams have told me that much
I can feel it slipping away, further each day
and my skin goes cold from the devil’s touch
Peace, Love.
