Not sure if we have always had "one ultimate goal", but in the modern era of man it is to control or attempt to figure out how to control everything. Whether it's things within our control (law, economy, government) or things not in our control (space and weather) for our own benefit and existence.

I would also add that to me personally, I believe more in Nihilism than any spirituality or god/creator, so ultimately I think has no "real" purpose.

except the gay folk, right g.

why do you say that are you gay or curious ? you always find something to negative to follow up a post I make,
you must enjoy argument or if you don't like me or how I stand on some issues that's all fine and dandy or is there something you would like me to say about the gay life stile as far as my personal opinion on that...we've already been there,if your gay it's no big deal to me I don't really care, it's just not a life stile I would agree with having in my life, real simple right ?

I respectfully disagree. Homosexual is something that one person becomes in her/his life, nobody was born homosexual. If I remember well, the church - at least in my country - has said "come as you are".

Billy I won't argue with you on that bio thing..I don't know anything about that.
and I'm not judging anybody for their being gay,as far as I'm concerned it is what is..I just don't agree with it but that's my business,I'm not here to tell anybody they should not be gay that is their business.

So basically you're saying it's a choice people make, and if that's the case, please let us all know when you decided to be heterosexual. Obviously things like attraction and instincts are developed when you're a child, so at what age did you decide to be straight? Also please describe what made you come to your decision in this choice.

I am an heterosexual all my life. I like girls from the day I was born. I cannot say what happens in a homosexual mind. Everyone is free to be whatever she/he wants. Although, I'm with Godfather in this one:"I'm not judging anybody for their being gay,as far as I'm concerned it is what is..I just don't agree with it but that's my business,I'm not here to tell anybody they should not be gay that is their business".

Ok not to be rude, but I'm calling you out. That's idiotic to think you made some conscious decision about a topic you had absolutely no clue about. Whether you fully believe a person is born gay or develops tendencies and makes a choice of some sort, the experiences between birth to eight develop a child's social and interpersonal skills and are then carried into development between the ages of 8 to 12 in which a child has the cognitive recognition of these feelings and emotions. Some of it may be conscious, most of it is unconscious. But in any respect, to say you made such a decision between this time frame and knew what you were doing, thinking or saying is ridiculous. Think about yourself at the age between 8-12 yrs old...

what..did a doctor find the "gay gene" in a dna test  just for thought; every gay person I have talked with male and female all said that they suffered some kind of trauma in their young lives mostly rape or molested by a relative and I have wondered if that triggered anything for them.

I hope you all realize that "gay" also happens in nature quite frequently in many species, its not limited to humans. Its purly biological.

To make some type of comment as your below is very unenlightened and irresponsible. Such a generalization is no better than believing racist wide sweeping statements.

  • wow, godfather, I'm frankly appalled that you would make such a blanket ignorant statement as this. it's quite disgusting, actually. this is the usual statement made by a bigot who is completely uneducated on the subject and is only blindly following teachings of the ideology that they subscribe to, instead of researching it for themselves.

Exactly Godfather! You are in my mind! :o And Billy, you are not any kind of judge to characterise a person more experienced than you "uneducated". Your views, make you the real "uneducated", to my eyes. Well, Five in order not to think that I am "uneducated", I will tell you what I know about this topic. I also believe that homosexuals are the most sorrowful persons in the world (e.g they suffered some kind of trauma in their young lives mostly rape or molested by a relative, the worst experiences between birth to eight etc.). In addition, I know that every human being - male or female - has both kind of hormones (male hormones & female hormones). In some cases, a man's female hormones can prevail his male hormones later in his life and vice versa. I want to say this last word and to end this discussion here. Every person is free to be whatever she/he wants, as long as he/she doesn't insult or provoke the other human beings and impact the other persons' life in a negative and deadly way. The end.
