they must have broken all records this year. does it usually take until June to get the single from the friggin Christmas before??
At some point in the future, the 2016 Christmas Single will arrive five weeks before the 2015 Christmas Single. The earth will shift on its axis at that point, and all birds will attack cats. It will be a moment to remember.

Personally I think they've got a bit of a cheek charging for fanclub membership when the only real benefit is being able to post on here, a shot at decent tickets and a 7" which could turn up at any point in the year. Seems kind of pointless to me.

The $20 is worth the shot at tickets alone for me. You'd spend that in service fees for worse seats anyway. I understand people's frustration at the timeliness of the single, but it's kind of funny to get a Christmas gift in the summer. And you still get one every year. Pretty harmless. I think $20 is a bargain for no service fees on tickets and a vinyl single, plus newsletters and whatever else. Anyways, just trying to offer a different way of looking at it.

I believe there are indeed service fees though when you buy thru TC. Wasn't the base ticket price $75 for the MSG shows? ...but there are $11.50 of charges per ticket, more than the $75 base price (I paid $86.50 per ticket thru TC). I'm judging the base price from what I believe I remember Ticketmaster listing on their website what the base price was. But anyone who has an MSG 2010 ticket can confirm what the base price was.
And PJ now calls it an "annual gift" so its still along the lines of their new description of their services.

I won't pretend to know anything about that, so I'll just concede and say I'd rather pay my service fee to the band than ticket master.
And the shot at tickets that are best in the house is nice. So still worth the $20 for me.

$89 for MSG.... or maybe $79.00? total for 2 tickets was 184.10

Not bad for only $20. Plus DEEP magazine and buying posters after the shows. I am happy with my membership.
I have to agree with citizen zack and animal here... the membership is well worth $20 to me.
I'm assuming due to when I joined, I won't be receiving this single... I think I have to wait for the 2010 one... am I right? I would love to get my hands on this one though! :-)
I will say, the 10 Club can be nice, and other times can seem like money for nothing. Since I wasnt able to see Pearl Jam using 10 Club tickets in 07, 08, or 09, all I really got was a vinyl for $20 each year, and maybe a couple newsletters, but there is no way I got 6 newsletters in that time. This year on the other hand I went to two shows using the 10 Club and had really great seats, so I would say it was worth it this year. But unfortunatley, really all the 10 Club is good for, is spending money to give you the chance to spend more money. But like I said, in 2010, I think it was worth it for me.
words seem so out of place.

Im happy with mine too. But alot of ppl say "10c tix are always better than ticketmaster" NOT TRUE, if you have a medium to bad number you can get much better seats on TM, I got seats right next to the stage in seattle and my 10c tix were on the very back of the floor. I always have pretty good luck with TM. However, the shot at the lottery is worth buying from 10c even if your seats aren't that good.
I'm starting to think my mailperson misdelivered it -- a not uncommon event for my mail, unfortunately, particularly packages. (Though oddly, 100% of my junkmail is accurately delivered 100% of the time!)
