I've never heard of the band so I can't make any pre-judgements.
That being said, I thought the song choice was excellent. The guy's voice was dog shit. The lead guitar sounded like a fucking Wal-Mart First Act model, and the lyrics were stumbled through and grossly shat upon.
I don't mind bands covering PJ but this song was 3rd grade fuckness.
Though I don't really like this band. They're alright (common thread appearing here?), but they sound very derivative, and really just lack any kind of power, even when playing an energetic song like this.
And on a side note, the singer looks like an extra for a 1930s movie.
