So, before I venture off on my week long PJ road trip, I figured that I'd pack my Cd wallet full of bootlegs. I have the complete sets from 2000 and 2003 tours and I'm sure that I can find the official boots from 2005 and 2006 shows, now I just some suggestions. Anything from those years would be great. Thanks

i like to dig out some of the odd shows from '03 from time to time. i assume you know the famed shows that have, for lack of a better term, gone down in history, but some "obscure" ones are

charlotte (infamous green disease lyric change)
    nashville (sick setlist...parting ways!)
    atlanta (crown of thorns)
    lexington (opens with cropduster??)

    thats a good run.

cleveland is another that is often overlooked, and one of the best i saw that year.

the entire japan run is fucking amazing. all of those setlists are just plain sick. much better than the aussie run, which was pretty lackluster.

in general, IMHO, any '03 US show is, at minimum, damn good.

  • The Mansfield 03 set, 3 shows, 7 discs will chew up some miles, with almost no repeats

Same could be said for the Jones Beach 3 night set in 2000

I'm figuring one show = 2 1/2 to 3 hours = 180 to 200 miles travelled. In my case, I'm going from WPB thru Mansfield II . I'm bringing all my PJ discs. Plus some Hendrix, Mudhoney, Gits, Dead Moon, Who, Ramones, etc.. 1500 miles or so is a lot of ground to cover. I'd hate to limit myself.

Is it San Antonio 03 that has Ed singing Happy Birthday to Mike? That always makes me laugh!

How about the 2003 Buffalo show? I wasn't there, but I love the boot.

I agree. I wasn't there either but I think it's my favorite '03 boot, along with Alpine Valley.

Detroit '03 is another good one. "In My Tree" and "Red Mosquito" rocked!
