no tweet that I recall (maybe a sticky on the forum at most), and the ticket sale went on about a week before the event.

    That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure either. I'm still hoping for a FL warm-up show.

For the record...the Ryman is not booked from June 9-17.

I know it's a pipe dream, but nevertheless.

no tweet, it just was announced about 2-3 days before it went on sale.

I'm 200% on that because a few hours before it was announced I decided to go to Lollapalooza after all :)..and there was NO other things on the cards (apart from vague speculations from boarders here).

turned out a great decision and Karma worked and I got tickets for the Vic ..twice :D

The Ryman would be sweet, but why would they start off in TN then go down to FL and then back to TN? It doesn't make much sense. But then again, there was that one guy on here that ran into Jeff at a b-ball game and he said to make sure that you are in the state of TN the week before Roo- maybe they tried the Ryman or something like it and it fell through

    twice?
:).. I knew someone would ask..
Got my tickets within 5 minutes.
Then logged for a friend and kept at it for 3 hours. scored a pair for her, then logged for my +1 to try to get 2 more friends in, kept trying for another hours until they put the Sold Out sign.
so yep, I 'got' 4 tickets :D..I'm proud of having got 3 people in..but sad I couldn't get more, especially since by Euro standards, we had enough space around us to get at least 4-5 people in.

I agree...I remembered the Jeff story, but believe it's still a long shot.

Would like to see them at the Ryman...it would be a tough ticket to get if it happened.

I gave up on the possibility of a show at the Ryman when they announced dates in Florida on the 11th and 12th of June, right before Bonnaroo.

Would be a special night if they ever did it, though.
