The problem is that you are looking for logic where there is madness, we are dealing with people who get told that if they strap explosives to themselves and kill innocent people they will receive the riches of heaven. America is a good target for the preachers of hate because of your freedom, that is the thing that scares them most, not having total control is a dictators worst fear.

It is the biggest, many of these people that hate America are of the mind that we should immersing ourselves in their religion and not moving forward technologically, etc and this comes under the banner of freedom. A good example is the shooting dead of a couple of soccer supporters in Somalia about a week ago because they were watching a world cup game, in their view people must do as they say, Americans would fight to say they are wrong.

it would be just plain mean spirited, not to mention show an extreme lack of grace, to tell a parent of a dead soldier that their child died in vain regardless of your views on current military intervention.


every now and again one of my children mentions joining the military for whatever reason and every time they are subjected to a 'talk from mum', where i lay out history, foreign policy and the hypocrisy of religion for them. am i 'brainwashing' my children to keep them peaceable human beings?? you bet your arse i am. i will do anything within my power to keep my children away from the military.

these 'azzholes' already knew the US takes shit from no one. in fact they succceeded on their quest on the 2nd attempt. why they did what they did will be debated until the end of history. but you cant deny that considering their foreign policy, it was only a matter of time before the US was hit on homesoil.

Whose "azz" exactly are we kicking? We have lost more US citizens in Iraq then we lost on 9/11. Did we prove something? We wont take "shyt" from anyone? Didn't Israel just kill a few Americans in the recent strikes to the aid ships heading to Gaza? So if we weren't a super power why would anyone be attacking us? Is Mexico under attack by terrorist? Is anyone in South America under attack by terrorist?
Who hates my religion? I don't know of any one country that hates Christianity, they may not be Christians, but that doesn't mean they hate it. Mexico is made up of probably 99% Christians - why aren't they being bombed?
I don't understand how American's who are dieing in Iraq are protecting my freedoms? I don't understand how you explain to the parents of those fallen soldiers that their sons and daughters died because they were protecting the interests, I mean freedoms of the United States of America. If they weren't in Iraq right now, they wouldn't be dieing and the same freedoms I have now, I would have then. It's sad, but true.

I don't have a human rights book- I simply use common sense and logic when trying to understand the world, you should try it. You should also try and stop watching Fox News- Maybe you should flip the channel from time to time....

Tony your a good man and I wish the whole world thought like you do it would be a better place for sure but they don't,you seem to think the US is the evil ruler of the world and it's really not,we have helped many countries we went to war with them and helped to rebuild them, my mothers husband was in japan when fatman and little boy were dropped and he told me that as bad as those bombs were that they actually sent japan in another better direction because the Government was going out of control, I would rather never see another war as long as I live but I also stand behind my country 100% and am greatfull for the men and women that have fought and died to keep our freedom and way of life and the only reason other countries don't take mexico is because they know the USA will kick their azz's if they try...think about that,mexico dose not have a strong military so who do you think has been protecting them all these years ?
I think I understand what your saying and in a perfect world would even agree with you but that's not the way it is,the name of the game is power and control and we don't like it but all or most of the countries who concider them selfs a major power/player in the game see it and would love to take America Mexico even Canada.
this is not a good neighbor global community when you get right down to it.

If this car is one of the reasons the world hates the U.S, then the world hates awesome-ness. Although, in my humble opinion, they should focus their disdain on the Chevy Camaro because it outperforms both the Mustang and the Charger.

Seriously though, the comments on this thread have been both amusing and concerning for a lame car commercial.

I have taken them both for test drives.. I personally like the Challenger, its more roomy inside. It kind of reminds me of my old Thunderbird(size wise). Granted, the Camaro is a fast car but so is the Challenger SRT8.

Hell even Mustang is pushing the 305 hp V6, hell 31 mpg to boot, not bad....
