Attention, Matt Cameron...

Ament has Sweet Lew, where he takes lead vocals, and sang it twice recently.
Gossard has Mankind and Don't Gimmie No Lip, in which he sings lead vocals. He has sung Mankind numerous times since it's release in 1996.
McCready now has Turning Mist, for which he has taken lead vocal duties. He has even performed it live (albeit during a pre-set).
All of these songs have seen proper release on the band's records or compilations or singles...
Here's the part that matters:
You've done Black Diamond live and knocked it out of the park, but that's not enough. Let's get an original Matt Cameron composition with you on lead vocals! We'd love to hear this!
McCready really raised the bar. Don't pretend like you can't do it. We know you can.
Have fun on the European tour. That is all...

Haha, that was pretty bad. That whole album was horrible. I don't know what happened to Cornell. He use to be like a god to me. I love everything he ever did--Soundgarden, TotD, Audioslave-- Then he tried to go Pop, but his voice is shit when he tries to sing Pop.
I must say though, he can still bring it live. I saw him in Cincinnati shortly after his solo album came out. He and his band played mostly old Soundgarden and Audioslave songs. He sounded great.

But this is Matt Cameron's vocal contribution.

Sadly not on the record though. I'd think that at the rate he writes the guy had enough material for at least one song to be on a record or b-side or compilation or something.
Dave A - Angel
Jack Irons - Whale Song
Gossard - Mankind, Don't Gimmie No Lip
Ament - Sweet Lew
McCready - Turning Mist
Although all of the other band members (at one point) have put out respective solo albums of their own work (like Matt with Wellwater conspiracy), they also got a song on an album or fan club single or a compilation.
WHAT?!?! you thought that cover was BAD?

Was I the only one who absolutely loved his Billy Jean cover? Especially, for those of you who haven't heard it, the version available on Chris Cornell's acoustic show in Sweden.

I thought it was a really imaginative re-working of a song that didn't have much other space to occupy. I rarely hear artists reconstruct songs around their strengths with that level of vision.

Speaking of Billie Jean covers, anyone remember this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQyd1wN-qew ? I used to love that band when I was 15...
P.S.: Just realized I kinda hijacked the thread, so for the record: yes, I'd like to hear Matt sing some of his own stuff!
