Stone Temple Pilots In London

They were fucking amazing!! I've waited more than half my life to see them and I'm so glad I finally got the chance. Despite what I've heard over the years about Weiland's bad nights, tonight certainly was not one of those. He sounded incredible and the band more so. I cannot get over how good they were.
I also cannot get over how well the band seems to have aged. Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz especially. They look about the same as they did in 1994. It's crazy. The music has certainly aged well too and damn, were they tight.
Great, great gig.

Amazing show, very tight performance. Scott's voice was damn near perfect all night - few frontmen bring that kind of energy to the stage. Definitely worth being crushed up against the barrier all night, although my chest is killing today!0

Was lovely our side!
Yeah what a show, if some reviewer says that's bad then fuck opinions and all but they are wrong!0 -
Ah I love to see when Weiland has an "on" night; he really is quite amazing when sober and with it. The whole band puts on one hell of a show. Here's to more "on" nights for Weiland. Glad you all got to see a great show.0

Wow, you guys got some amazing pictures! Wish I had taken my camera now, I didn't really anticipate being front row - could have got some good shots.
P.s Robert Deleo has to be the coolest bass player around, I love all that strutting shit he does, far more exciting to watch than most bass players.0 -
Saw them live last year and they rocked.
How did the new songs sound live? I was never much of a Tiny Music fan until I saw them doing those songs live... the first time I saw Trippin on a Hole live, I swear my jaw hit the floor. And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.0 -
so... i'm considering seeing them this summer. if i order tickets today, i can get them for 10 bucks with no service charges. you're saying they're worth at least that much?0

I saw Weiland live with VR and thought he was awesome, so I was surprised to hear of his bad nights.0

I was there. It was cool, but it wasn't that great.
The setlist wasn't the best and the new album is poor.
They're no Pearl Jam...nowhere near...Wembley 2000 • Reading 2006 • Paris 2006 • Wembley 2007 • Shepherds Bush 2009 • Manchester 2009 • O2 Arena 2009 • Hyde Park 2010 • Arras 2010 • Manchester 2012 • Manchester II 2012 • Leeds 2014 • Milton Keynes 2014 • Amsterdam 2018 • Amsterdam II 2018 • London 2018 • London II 2018 • Hyde Park II 2022

Yeah, they're actually tight. If Pearl Jam is gonna be playing these greatest hits setlists throughout Europe they could at least perform them without fucking them up. They bloody flubbed "Alive" in Belfast. My Pearl Jam Photos

Stone Temple Pilots played their stuff well, but I thought the setlist could have been a lot better. A lot of the crowd were just chatting through most of the new stuff - probably because it's not very well known and also poor.
It was a good show, but I've been to many better gigs.
I've never seen Pearl Jam mess up once in the eight shows I've been to - apart from Ed on the ukelele!Wembley 2000 • Reading 2006 • Paris 2006 • Wembley 2007 • Shepherds Bush 2009 • Manchester 2009 • O2 Arena 2009 • Hyde Park 2010 • Arras 2010 • Manchester 2012 • Manchester II 2012 • Leeds 2014 • Milton Keynes 2014 • Amsterdam 2018 • Amsterdam II 2018 • London 2018 • London II 2018 • Hyde Park II 2022
