The BP oil mess in numbers real "folks" understand

I was watching our fearless leader's (in America) typical lip service talk/Presidential address today and I got to thinking , how much oil is really leaking into the ocean everyday? I didn't know how much oil is in a barrel, I could only guess, then they showed some stuff on the exxon Valdez spill and how still today it is turning up oil on beaches and in the ecosystem, so I was wondering how does this BP rig leak compare to the Valdez. I looked on some sources (not wikipedia except for 44 gallons in a barrel) online for numbers so I assume they are relatively correct, here is what I gather:

1 barrel of oil equals 44 gallons
Super Tankers carry between 2-3 million barrels of oil depending on type/size
or 88 million to 132 million gallons

estimates are the leak is losing between 35,000 and 60,000 barrels per day or 1,540,000 to 2,640,000 gallons a day

this started April 20th, so from the time of this post 56 days or so lets just guess a middle figure of oil barrel leakage of 45,000 barrels a day, times 56 days = 2,520,000 barrels, times 44 gallons making the spill roughly 110,880,000 gallons of oil

Vadez leaked approximately 11 million gallons or 257,000 barrels, ten time LESS than what has spilled in the gulf

BP claims their containment cap is getting 18,000 barrels of oil per day, at most half of the leak rate

assuming the worst flow rate of 60000 barrel a day that would mean a 3 million barrel capacity supertanker every 45 days or so, a 2 million barrel super tanker every 33 days

so we have seen 10 times the oil leak than that of the Exxon Valdez and counting, not to mention all the chemicals they have dumped to disperse it......

I think I want to throw up now

again all numbers are just using common logic to get them using flow rate publicized, and know quantities/capacities of barrels and tankers
