Record Player Need Help

So I want to start getting some Vinyl and I really need help on getting a decent record player one that plays regular sized records and the 45s like pearl jam sends for the singles. Please help anyone have suggestions

    all turntables should play all records all from the 50s to now

    most local record stores will have great used record players for cheap. you can buy a new one for $100 or so. you can also get record players that will play your records and convert them to mp3's for you ipod listening pleasure. not that hard just have to look.....shit there are ways dude, i can get you a record player by 5 this afternoon.

    what's your budget? will you be connecting it to an exsiting stereo set up? If so, does your set up have a phono input?

    I highly recommend the Pro-Ject Debut III. Great turntable with a quality stylus for the price...

    +1 on the Project Debut 3. Comes with the Ortofon OM5e if I remember correctly. The great thing about the cartridge is when you need to repalce the stylus, you don't need to take the cartridge out IIRC. You shouldn't need to balance the tone arm or adjust the tracking weight or alter the tracking angle, at least as far as I know of. I may be incorrect on this so if I am, I apologize in advance.
