Wow...if they go under, we are SCREWED!!!

I think they need to be thinking about a SAVE THE GULF special shows concert with bands playing a special benefit to raise money to SAVE the OCEAN!!!!

Pearl Jam should get on board and get something going!!!!!

    Fuck them!

If they even think about going on the airwaves trying to raise public money for the clean-up effort, there oughtta be a revolt in this country. Have the CEO and upper management pony up their million dollar bonuses to help clean up. Fat chance of that happening.

Lets move this to the Moving Train......also, you must have no idea how many and the amount of BP products you use in your daily life. As much as people hate it, right now in our country we need Oil and Oil companies, even if they do screw up and are grossly overpaid.

    Save the Gulf?

Didn't we do that after Katrina? I remember hearing a kick-ass version of Born on the Bayou by the Foo Fighters. Then, the Saints won a Super Bowl. What more do they want?

JK...in all seriousness. Public funds shouldn't go to clean this mess up. Let the mighty pony up and take the hit for once. The Have's have not a clue.

I'm not saying we don't need oil. I'm not even saying boycott BP. But if we use so many BP products in our lives, like you said, they must have plenty of $$ to clean up this mess they made. They better not try to reach out to the public in the form of a telethon or fundraiser of some sort. My guess is they will pay for the clean up...... then ask the feds for a bailout.

Someone needs to help, agreed, the gov reaponse is similar to Katrina, but nobody dares call out this administration. I liked PJ better when they called out all politicians.

...don't forget that during Katrina the gov't allowed people to suffer, not just an ecosystem. They also had time to prepare for the landfall, which they did not. They protected the wealthy at the expense of the poor.

This rig is greed's fault. Place blame where it need be placed.

Hey maybe Transocean could pitch in and help with the cleanup? It was their BOP that failed or was infact not there in the first place.

this company is so ridiculously rich...if they ask for $$$ it would sum up their total lack of grip with reality beyond their own bottom line
  • they should spend what they have to spend.... millions, billions, whatever... if they go broke, I'm sure another company will come in a fill the void....
