we're not all like that in Texas, i swear. RIP Jimmy. i get the feeling that guy isn't around anymore either considering how much sausage he's consumed in his life.

The practice of giving us LESS of a product for the same amount of money we used to pay for a LARGER amount of the product. It's as if they are trying to trick consumers by not mentioning the fact that the new package is giving us a few ounces less than before.
I noticed this about Classico Pesto just the other day. The jar on the shelf looks different. It is SMALLER. It now holds 8 oz. instead of 10 oz. (I looked on the shelf and found an older jar in the back and sure enough, it was larger.) I thought the same thing as this sausage guy. Will it be enough to cover the amount of pasta I usually use with it? No. It will not be.
I don't understand why companies do this except to try to trick people. If they need to raise the price for the original amount that's what they should do. To give us a smaller jar just means we'll have to buy TWO jars to cover a box of pasta and that will cost MORE than if they'd just raised the price on the larger jar.
I think this sausage complaint is funny because he's talking about fattening sausage, but it's the same serious issue with cereal boxes, pesto, artichokes, etc...
