we lived like vagabonds
excess was king
indulgence the only law
we filled the pool with passion fruit
an swam naked
slippery skin
touching
fingertips disappearing
bold new adventures
a four month orgasm
we made a movie
and no one took the lead
first and last kisses
caught on film
black and white of course
every moment
felt like it could be the last
vodka night
pool hall fights
and a gun held to my head
a one time only piano song
that lasted 7 hours
I had no idea
they came along
lost in my vision
as summer turned to fall
the community shrank
one by one
finally leaving me alone
and facing a long walk home
it was never the same after that summer
excess was king
indulgence the only law
we filled the pool with passion fruit
an swam naked
slippery skin
touching
fingertips disappearing
bold new adventures
a four month orgasm
we made a movie
and no one took the lead
first and last kisses

Wolf, I like this a lot. Reminds me of those days as well.
Hope I am not overstepping my bounds, but I might consider removing the very last line and end it with the walk home. I already feel the last line in your intentions, so I don't think I need to read it too. Just my $.02 of advice that's probably only worth $.01.Idaho's Premier Outdoor Writer
