Whenever I read one of these vinyl threads it always makes me regret getting rid of my record player and LP's all those years ago
Back then it was all "these new CD's are perfect no scratching/jumping", blah, blah, blah, "vinyl will be extinct" etc etc.......I never stopped to think that vinyl would still actually SOUND better

I had the same. When I started do buy music 20 years ago; I did nearly the same decision. I bought mainly CDs and only a few vinyls.
But 3 years ago I bought a record player again. A great investment. Since then I bought nearly all vinyls where I thought these records are "necessary" allthough I already have the CDs.
From that point I changed my listening behaviour... I listen mainly vinyls...
By the way, in the meantime tots of vinyls are available with a code to download MP3 for free to put them in your mp3-player...

But wait....that would still involve actually PAYING for music....which hardly anybody does anymore. It's not hurting the big guys as much....I mean, you can still live off of selling 500,000 cd's as opposed to 5 million cds....but smaller artists are getting SCREWED. So people just say, oh, they make their money touring....at $4/gallon gas...you can't make any money on the road at all. Sorry to rant...I just wish more people paid for music. It would make my life a lot easier.

I agree with you - I know the problems regarding paying money for music.
I would like to know how many PJ fans really have payed for the downloadable concerts. I assume it was only a minority... :-((
finally, the ITW vinyl is definetely better than the CD :-))

Hell yeah we listen to ALL of our vinyl!!! No vinyl is safe from the turntable at my house.
And yeah, the ITW LP does sound extra spectacular!!! So much richer sounding than the CD. And I love the extended version of "The Wolf," and the slightest rearrangement of the track listing with adding the humming version of "Guaranteed" at the end of side 1.
