    one of my favorite poems.

Metamorphose. An object is cut off from its name,
habits, associations. Detached, it becomes only
the thing, in and of itself. When this disintegration
into pure existence is at last achieved, the object
is free to become endlessly anything.

    The Lords and
    The New Creatures
    Poems)

this book is actuallly sitting on my end table at all times. There were two others realeased much later called American Night, and Wilderness. Both just collections of his stuff. I keep all three sitting there so I can just pick them up whenever...

I love these books, along with Leonard Cohen's poetry book which is called Beautiful Losers. I'm always reading through these four book.

    Good stuff.

Oh yes, Jim Morrison of the Doors.... brings back memories of my high school yrs. He was truly mystical - a great poet and songwriter.

There was a "cover" band back then called - Moonlight Drive - ( I'm sure there are others ) such great times :D

I have recording of a live show and he says "I'm gonna get my kicks brfore the shit hits the fan",
I read the book no one here gets out alive by Bruce Botnic..I think ? but anyway a great read and full of insight to his life and some thoughts.
