They've been out for a while but I got into them pretty recently... Picked the cd up two weeks ago, and I canlt put it away. Elly Jackson is unique and she has a beautiful voice. I never thought i'd find myself listening to pop electronica... But this album and group rocks. They are definitely an acquired taste but listen with an open mind.

I agree, not for everybody. But I personally love La Roux! They're playing Bulletproof on Top 40 radio now (shame its played right in the middle of some god-awful music) and they're definitely getting bigger. But anyway, all I have to say is that Elly Jackson is REALLY talented! Saw La Roux last Monday at Terminal 5 in NYC, had a blast, and they sounded great! Highlights were actually unexpected- Elly played the first song she'd ever either wrote or recorded (cant remember which), which was done solo & acoustic, that's all. Really highlighted her voice! Then the whole band did a cover of Under My Thumb by the Rolling Stones which I thought was really neat! Other La Roux favorites: I'm Not Your Toy and In For the Kill.

  • In For The Kill would fly into my top twenty of worst records ever made without too much trouble. It should be illegal to listen to shit like this.

    Dreadful stuff.
It's gonna be a glorious day...

Cover my eyes is great. Fascination is good too. In for the Kill is my favorite.

Im not afraid to admit that their music is really good. It's different as I said but I see the awesomeness.
