After 'Education' in '06, how about 'Otherside' in '10??

... for Dublin, or even Belfast, it being the 'otherside' of the border in Northern Ireland. Or anywhere in Europe, just so long as this lost dog sees the light of day sometime, somewhere, even just once! I've tried to resist posting this, as the band are quite skilled in choosing their own setlists. But Otherside...what a TUNE.

    was quite suprised they didnt bust it out at MSG.. would have been perfect! We got like three specific jeff tunes but no otherside :(

    You beat me to it, was gonna start an "other side" thread this week in a last ditch attempt to draw some attention to it................

    Seriously Jeff needs to sit Eddie down and tell him what's what! Its a bloody masterpiece and should be played at least once (please :) :oops: )

    Whatever the politics are, who knows. It is quite apparent though that Ed doesn't mind singing and interacting with the other members' lyrics. Maybe the song itself holds some anguish for Jeff, maybe the notion of running it live never came in to their heads, maybe they think it's a lackluster song, maybe they haven't played it cause it's 'just' a b-side from Riot Act which itself doesn't get a lot of live treatment anyway, who knows. Good to know I won't be the only one losing the run of myself if they play it :D

    It really does have a big meaning. I think I heard that Jeff wrote the song about his parents that passed away. See you on the Other Side. So maybe its too sad for him to play.

    Fair play Chazz, you're keeping the ship afloat here ;) There has to be more than minimal interest in hearing this song played live! I don't even mind if I'm not there wherever to hear it, there's always the boots. Though I've heard the 2010 ones are causing some peoples' heads to explode :mrgreen:
