    Good question. It worked for me on firefox but not IE, but for one of my friends IE worked and not firefox. Who knows? Good luck though. :)

    thanks for the "good luck" comment :)

    it was the strangest thing what happened last time...and i made a BIG issue about it then and if it shows up late this time i'm gonna continue my quest to try to understand(and bitch!) about what happened...being shut out of the Vic really tore my heart out...sure i got over it BUT to not have a FAIR chance was really unfair...

    Lottery was the way the Vic tickets should have been handled.

    If they are fixed this time, be prepared to hit refresh a lot, but not too much where you accidentally refresh over open tickets. That sucks. :)

    The VIC kinda was like a Lottery, some people got the Icon some didnt. No one did anything different. It was pure luck.

    I agree with you about the lottery.
    As far as the icon goes, I think its simply a numbers game.
    More people online that the system can process, so it doesnt show up.

    so um because this is a ev small club tour and not the vic PJ 10c show we can expect less volume?

    Maybe, there were a boatload of people who were already planning to be in Chicago so the demand for the VIC was as strong as any other arena show-perhaps stronger because of the intimate setting and fan club only.

    Hard to tell. It sounds like these tix might be more limited at each venue, but there are more venues. Im sure LA will be a tough ticket no matter what. And people have been clamoring for this, so demand will be strong.

    And your right about the posters and the buy button, but the images for certain posters showed up earlier for some-like the Vic tix

    I still think its just a numbers game and its luck of the draw.

    And anyone who chooses a Wharf Rat name is OK in my book.
    I got no dime but
    I got time to hear his story

    It seems that what some people encountered was a proxy/cache error. Basically the information that some people received (images etc) took longer to reach other users despite that information being released at/on the same source.
    Due to equipment differences, ISP routes and heavy traffic coupled with other vague issues of internet use, some people were able to see things that others apparently did not immediately see.
    While no online vendor can take responsibility for the performance of the internet as a whole, nor of the provisioned methods users choose to connect with (unless they wholly own them), we have made some changes aimed at "pushing" cache information in the future out to users to alleviate any bottlenecks that may lie in between users and the store. We cannot provide any guarantees but the aim is to further speed up the reception of data to all users even under heavy load.
    All online stores, cell networks (eg: delayed voicemail etc) are susceptible to such issues, especially under heavy load. But you can significantly reduce your chances of delays with the TC site (and any other) by making sure your browser is up to date, caches are clean and cookies are working.

    At the end of the day we want you to have a good online experience and have taken note of technical difficulties experienced by users regardless of their source.

    For the far more curious and/or geeky!

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_server

    A web server (program) has defined load limits, because it can handle only a limited number of concurrent client connections (usually between 2 and 60,000, by default between 500 and 1,000) per IP address (and IP port) and it can serve only a certain maximum number of requests per second depending on:

    * its own settings;
    * the HTTP request type;
    * content origin (static or dynamic);
    * the fact that the served content is or is not cached;
    * the hardware and software limits of the OS where it is working.

    When a web server is near to or over its limits, it becomes overloaded and thus unresponsive.

    [edit] Overload causes
    A daily graph of a web server's load, indicating a spike in the load early in the day.
    A daily graph of a web server's load, indicating a spike in the load early in the day.

    At any time web servers can be overloaded because of:

    * Too much legitimate web traffic (i.e. thousands or even millions of clients hitting the web site in a short interval of time. e.g. Slashdot effect);
    * DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks;
    * Computer worms that sometimes cause abnormal traffic because of millions of infected computers (not coordinated among them);
    * XSS viruses can cause high traffic because of millions of infected browsers and/or web servers;
    * Internet web robots traffic not filtered / limited on large web sites with very few resources (bandwidth, etc.);
    * Internet (network) slowdowns, so that client requests are served more slowly and the number of connections increases so much that server limits are reached;
    * Web servers (computers) partial unavailability, this can happen because of required / urgent maintenance or upgrade, HW or SW failures, back-end (i.e. DB) failures, etc.; in these cases the remaining web servers get too much traffic and become overloaded.

    [edit] Overload symptoms

    The symptoms of an overloaded web server are:

    * requests are served with (possibly long) delays (from 1 second to a few hundred seconds);
    * 500, 502, 503, 504 HTTP errors are returned to clients (sometimes also unrelated 404 error or even 408 error may be returned);
    * TCP connections are refused or reset (interrupted) before any content is sent to clients;
    * in very rare cases, only partial contents are sent (but this behavior may well be considered a bug, even if it usually depends on unavailable system resources).
