so i was thinking of buying a tv today. found a good price online. called the local fry's store to see if they would price match. nope. makes no sense to me.

    You can buy stuff online from a warehouse at cost. Buying from retail at cost would make them no money, so they won't match it.

    I used to work for Best Buy and my employee discount was cost plus 5%. You can find anything online for just as cheap.. and NEVER buy cables from retail. Thats where they make all their money.. A $50 HDMI cable shouldn't cost you more than $5 if you order from a warehouse online..

    i'm betting they would still make money on it. it'd be nice to be able to pick up local...but 250 isn't worth it.
