I did not confuse anything, sorry it was a tongue in cheek reference...did not think anyone would take it literally...anyway, it is the super deluxe version that is usually around $200.00...they are available in store at HMV Toronto for $49.99...I bought one myself and they had about 20-30 available as of Friday afternoon...hope that clears it up

It's true! Friend of mine bought one yesterday there for $49.99. Only in store sale, not for online sale. They were $99 bucks a few month's back @ HMV in Montreal, and I was there visiting weeks ago. D'oh! viewtopic.php?f=4&t=125191

Another Chicagoan who would be interested in the Super Deluxe set if someone in Canada would like to help me out. I would cover the shipping costs and can throw in some extra $ to cover the trouble of you going to the store to pick it up.

i can pick some up for ppl but you have to realise that shipping is not going to be cheap due to the weight of the boxset.

HMV - Yonge and Dundas...I'll check at lunch to see if they are still available and update everyone...this location usually blows some records out all the time for pretty cheap but the dates and titles are usually random...a few weeks ago I got Iron Maiden Flight 666 LP for $14.99...

I'd like to personally thank HMV for drastically dropping the price on this. I was about to put mine up for sale, but in effect the price point would be way too low to be worth it, and now I'm happy that I "have to" keep it. I"m gonna spin Drop In The Park tonight.

I just got back and HMV will ship them to you but obviously you bear the shipping costs and anything else. I have a contact name and info if you want to PM me...he works in the account sales department at that location...sorry, I might have done it once or twice but given the number of requets, I don't have the time to purchase a bunch of them, pack them properly and then ship them, let alone assume responsbility for all of it as well...hope this doesn;t tick off anyone.

Amy idea how much shipping is to the states? I have a gently used set for sale and obviously this deal hurts my chances of selling it. Just curious what the total price would be to the US.

I called over and spoke with someone and they told me they have 102 of them left. He said they have been selling about 2 or 3 a day with this price drop and before at $99.99 they were selling about one a week.
He said their cost on these were $135 and they are blowing them out to gain room.
I'm thinking of making the trip up there and was trying to determine if there would be any left by the weekend.

With 102 still available you are probably safe but you never know I guess...they told me that they had so many of them throughout the whole chain that everyone shipped the bulk of them to that location to be blown out...

no idea but it is certainly much heavier than a regular LP plus packing it would be more difficult

I just shipped one from Toronto to NJ yesterday and it cost just under $30 (if I'm not mistaken it weighs in at about 3.5 lbs). That includes a tracking number, $100 of insurance and delivery in 6-8 days (unless it is delayed at customs). If anyone in the US is still looking, I'm willing to send a few more out. $125 including shipping seems fair. That covers the box set + tax, packing materials, shipping, PayPal fees and a little something something for my time and effort. Send me a PM with your PayPal email address if interested and I'll send out an invoice.
