    ooh, real actors. The guy playing Jax was in The Dark Knight. Looks like it could be a good actioner if it's made.

    Warner Bros. looking to reboot franchise, but Threshold Entertainment filed new breach of contract lawsuit to prevent it from moving forward.

    Good rule of thumb for upcoming movie news - ignore imdb until the film is actually releases. It's all rumour and hearsay.
    You're better off going for the really geeky sites :)

    i should have rephrased that and said has the potential to be pretty good. We all know some trailers look good but the movie turns out to be bad.

    I'm not sure if that is possible.
    Calling a movie "pretty good" I think means you would recommend it to most. I think this has a lot of nostalgia, with the lines like "get over here." Outside of 90s kids who remember playing this in the arcade, I'm not sure who would be interested. If it wasn't for the game I would have no desire to see this.

    Mortal Kombat is the most successful fighting game presently out there to my knowledge. You need more than "90s kids" to pull that off.



    I have to say - rewatched the 95 movie this Christmas and it is actually surprisingly well done. Not saying it is amazing in any way. But it looks like something people wanted to make well, and made well and did the best they could with, with it being tied to a fighting game that had "we have blood in ours, Street Fighter doesn't" as its main selling point.
