2009 Holiday Single

I just have a few qustions.
Since I'm not going to open it, can someone tell me if it is a CD or a record?
And also, is it one song "Turning Mist", or two songs, "Turning" and "Mist"? I just got it in the mail like 20 minutes ago, and since I'm in DE, I figured Im probably among the last to get it.

    A friend of mine from down under said the 'Hawaii '78' recording is from the EV solo tour show from night 2 in Oahu. Can't wait to hear it & relive the memory. Haven't got mine either as of yet. Sure could use a little up-lifting right now.

    Hasnt made it to CT yet...but i dont have a turntable either, so i'll just stare at it and wish i did when it does come... :( then put it on the shelf with its prev. year holiday single compadres to collect dust in homes that some day, I will have a turntable....or just wait for someone to convert it and post it online :)

    While I appreciate the sentiment behind sending everyone vinyl, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense (to me anyway) assuming most people no longer own turntables. It's arrival (which hasn't happened yet) is equal parts exciting and frustrating.

This is why Ed is a freak about vinyl, and to make sure that their music is archived for generations to come. Could be that 'urban myth' or whatever, (somebody correct me?) but you can download/listen to it on gremmie.net!

    That is pretty much it in a nutshell. This was posted on PJ's website years ago about the Library of Congress.

    Plus, almost 20 years later, it is just the Pearl Jam way, as it's always been. I would be really sad if they stopped sending out 45's each year.

    I think the Ten Club could send the single in a CD or a Vinyl, depending on the member decision. Sadly this is much expensive and complicated.

    Anyone know of any southern hemisphere arrivals? I'm in New Zealand, and it sure would brighten these crappy winter days...

    Also, regarding the posts about the single being available only on vinyl....just for my two cents I LOVE the fact that they are staying old skool and sending out analogue. I understand some of you out there might not own a turntable, but hey, as a pearl jam fan you've got the perfect excuse to go and get one. You haven't lived till you've heard Binaural on vinyl (preferably through headphones). That sounds very wanky but it's a fact!

    However I do understand it would be frustrating if you weren't really into the black circles that much. They're still pretty awesome to behold though, more interesting than a cd, and that is my two cents.

    mine just arrived to me in philly. i am stoked for it, but likewise.. lack of turntable means i will only be staring at it, and it will be sitting unopened with my other pearl jam stuffs. hope that everyone else who hasn't received theirs yet does soon! merry christmas! :lol:
