Roll your eyes as you wish... People bare a lot of themselves on this board (some more than we wish  ).. Not knowing a person other than as a fake name and a picture leaves a lot open for interpretation. You may be having a spiritual convo, someone else may be desperate for some contact. I covered my bases, because you never know...

that's some funny stuff.....you have me choking on my ice water I am laughing so hard!!! my point being ...we are all gonna die... what is your here after...I used to believe something...but I watch the natural world now more closely than I ever have before...and I've come to the conclusion we are just food. Oh I'd love to think my Momma was waiting and happy golden sunsets and rainbows...but I don't know...hence the reason I ask for others thoughts. See?

I don't know exactly what there will be on the other side, but I were to die....please don't bury me down in the cold, cold ground

    Woke up this morning
    Put on my slippers
Walked in the kitchen and died
    And oh what a feeling!
    When my soul
    Went thru the ceiling
And on up into heaven I did ride
When I got there they did say
    John, it happened this way
    You slipped upon the floor
    And hit your head
    And all the angels say
    Just before you passed away
These were the very last words
    That you said:

    Chorus:
    Please don't bury me
Down in that cold cold ground
No, I'd druther have "em" cut me up
    And pass me all around
Throw my brain in a hurricane
And the blind can have my eyes
And the deaf can take both of my ears
If they don't mind the size
    Give my stomach to Milwaukee
If they run out of beer
Put my socks in a cedar box
Just get "em" out of here
Venus de Milo can have my arms
Look out! I've got your nose
Sell my heart to the junkman
And give my love to Rose

    Repeat Chorus

Give my feet to the footloose
    Careless, fancy free
Give my knees to the needy
Don't pull that stuff on me
Hand me down my walking cane
    It's a sin to tell a lie
Send my mouth way down south
    And kiss my ass goodbye
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

what would you expect to find on the other side? I used to think there was something...now I believe we are all just food...

I have no expectations about after I die. I think we just become raw energy. Maybe there's some memory in the energy, maybe there's our habitual frequency? Who knows?

Most likely, we DO end up as material ("food" as you said) for other life later. Even if it's just that our bodies decay and feed the earth...

I don't really think we'll be seeing other dead people when we die, but it's hard to know. I remember having dreams about my grandparents for at least a year after they died and it often felt like they were truly appearing as themselves and talking to me. The dreams were unusually vivid.

So, I guess my point is that perhaps the spirit lingers for a while after the body is gone but maybe not too. :? That's a nice non-committal answer isn't it?!

I don't expect anything there. We fade into life. We probably fade out.

    I hope there's something though.

Not really sure what happens when you die. Have thought about it a lot over the years. I like to think that my energy goes on and is recycled somewhere, but it would also be nice to think that I just went to some nice place and didn't have to worry about anything. Not particularly religious.

I guess I'll find out one day.

most of us don't end up as food at all.
some dude in a morgue drains us and fills us fulla bullshit.
then puts us in a box and buries us.
    that's not food feeding anyone.
    worms?
in the old days? yes, worms ate us.
back then it was a thin cedar box and no morgue dude with hi-tech death shit.
nowadays, good luck worms getting into one of those boxes to eat a dude fulla chemicals.

the only way we are food is if we are ate by a great white shark, a bear, or a cannibalistic fuck up.

this is why i wanna be cremated at sea or propped up under some badass tree up in the mountains.
let nature disperse me as see fit.

    then Valhalla is on.
actually, i should be in war when i die.
where's nypj1 when you need to kill someone?

I've thought about this long and hard recently. I've decided that when I die it would be really cool to meet up with Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Ben, Claire, Sayid, Charlie, Desmond, Jacob, M.I.B and the rest of the Losties. I figure then the M.I.B. can tell me his darn name and one of them (by that time) will surely have figured out what the heck the island is.

Screw worrying about Heaven, Hell or reincarnation... I wanna know the answers to LOST!

    I'll worry about that then.

Until then, there's too much going on with life, no room for death to occupy my thoughts.

I don't think there's anything at all. It will be the eternal sleep. But that's okay - I don't get enough sleep.
