I know it's gotten some good reviews, but for whatever reason the previews don't do much for me.

    It was pretty good.
Some good laughs. Some parts waaaay too over the top though -- like they were trying too hard.

Meh I think it was over the top too, but that was purposeful. They were trying to do the whole "life of a rock star" to the 10th freakin' level. No holds barred...

    Yes, true.
It definitely had a lot of good laughs.

The fight scene with Puff daddy (p-diddy, whatever his name is) was so crazy, I could barely take it. However, the fuzzy wall thing was fucking hilarious!

The cast was great. I love all these comedies with these guys.

  • I know I will be able to get past this when I get around to seeing it, but the biggest issue I have with this is that you have Russell Brand playing the same character from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" but Jonah Hill seems to be playing a totally different/new character. Am I right is saying that? If so that's just stupid and weird. It's like the "Goofs" section on IMDB should just say "Continuity: Jonah Hill doesn't play the same character from the last movie because they couldn't find a storyline that would work this time around."

yup that is definitely true. Although, his character could have moved to L.A. and stopped dealing pot and totally change his life and they just failed to mention that part in the movie... haha

There was one other "goof" with Diddy's character that you might see in the movie (re: money)

Saw this last night at a free screening in the West End. free pizza and booze too. Good times.

I can't stand Russell Brand, but this was a load funnier than I had anticipated. Sean P Diddy Combs is pretty scene stealing in it. He's bloody hilarious. I would definitely recommend it, despite getting hung up on the fact that no way is a concert of that stature so poorly organised. And if it were, the performance itself would be beyond disasterous.

Jonah Holl needs to be left out of any role with more than a few lines. He's probably one of the last funny people in the world

When I first read the Title of this Thread I thought....PHEW!, someone has put an end to that other Thread, the Thread that started off for fun, but then quickly turned into a heap of derogatory pieces of shit. I think we should all go on holidays to Greekland and chill out.
.......The most UNpearljam thing that I have ever seen on these forums. ( and I haven't been here that long. :| )

SORRY!....Back to the movie. Yes, the movie. :D I'll be sure to use your recommendations.

I don't get the Russell Brand haters.

Trust me, I HATEEEE English accents and obnoxious skinny men with long hair as much as the next guy, but Russell Brand is too fucking funny. Forgetting Sarah Marshall had me pissing myself with laughter.
  • finally saw it tonight. my wife and I were rolling on the floor laughing at this. I need to get that soundtrack!
