    Sad news, I was a huge Stereophonics fan when they first came on the scene, and Stuart Cable really seemed to be their driving force at live shows. Seems we're losing a rock star every week these days :(

    This is such sad, sad news. Stuart was a really nice guy and was so much fun to be around whenever you met him. He was so down to earth and genuine and not at all 'rock star', despite being fairly famous he still lived near the same village he grew up in.

    I met Stuart quite regularly over the years, I used to work in a store that he used to come into and we always used to have some good banter. He always remembered my name and asked how I was doing. The last time I met him was at a Supergrass show a few years ago. He was there with the actor Rhys Ifans and they were in the middle of the crowd with all of the regular fans. When I offered to buy them a drink, Stuart remembered that the previous time he'd been in my shop his friend had been a pain in the ass and he wanted to buy me a drink for putting up with him!
