Just throwing this out there. The jewelry company Lia Sophia is selling a "Pearl Jam" necklace. I'm assuming they don't have the band's permission to use their name. I'm sure the guys have other things to worry about but it just struck me as odd. Any thoughts?

Probably the fact they advertise "Montana Blue" pearls, and there is a secret PJ fan there. Or it's a bunch of clueless people who don't know about PJ.
It took the World Wildlife Fund almost 5 years to sue WWE over their name when they started out as WWF. I bought some Nirvana eyeliner never heard anything about that, but Metallica did sue VS for naming some of their makeup Metallica. Guess it would depend on the band if they want to fight over trademark infringement.

That's kind of what I figured. But you would REALLY have to be clueless to not have heard of Pearl Jam. I like the idea of a secret PJ fan naming jewelry after them right under the noses of the company. We all know how the guys feel about corporate anything ;)

I made a few of these as a jewelry art project for school.
Not for sale or anything like that but thought you might like to see the creation.

That homemade PJ surfboard/cross logo is pretty awesome!

As for jewelry, I bought the St. Christopher key chain with the intent of taking it off the chain and making it into a necklace... kind of a medallion on a leather cord thing. I still plan to one day, just haven't gotten to it yet... but I'm pretty sure it should work easily, just a pair of pliers and a necklace to put it on!

It's cast from a mold. The first one was made from 18K gold.
I melted down my ex wives wedding ring to make the original. :)

I did see a homemade backspacer type bracelet in Kansas City too.
It said "Pearl Jam" made out of real typewriter keys.
It was pretty awesome too. Anyone have a photo?
