Night 1 was awesome. I love Wash as an opener and the "throwback" encore 1. I don't know about it "taking a huge shit all over night 2" though. Both are incredible shows.

    I enjoyed night one best.

On night two, Fuckin' Up into Yellow Ledbetter felt anticlimatic.

Night 2 was the first show show ever and I loved it! I waited way way way too long to see my favorite band but it made the trip to the Gorge (which almost did not happen because of cancelled flights) that much more special for me. I couldn't convince my dad to go to both nights, but I had an amazing experience. Night 1 looks better on paper to me, but night 2 holds a special place in my heart. Notice how I joined this board (after lurking for about 2 years) a few days after the show and notice my username is the song that opened this show.

Night 1 looks nice on paper but the crowd took about 15 songs to get into the show. The Ten Club screwed up the ticket distribution and most fan club members missed at least 5 songs. The couple next to us made it in during Daughter, the 12th song. I'll never forget hearing Wash while waiting in line with about 5,000 pissed off Ten Clubbers. It's a shame because it could have been an epic show but most of us who were there still have a bitter taste regarding that show. I'm obviously biased but I'll take night 2, the band and crowd were both on from the first note. The 09/01/05 Gorge show blows them both out of the water anyway.
