    I thought the video was sweet. I don't know how well it would really work, but it's nice that someone is trying to think of a simple solution.

    He said "Burn the hay for energy afterward." Sweet!! :D

    at least it would get rid of some.......why not? best idea i seen so far
    just sitting back doing nothing is driving me crazy. running our world
    greedy morons.....the costs is low , why not ? sitting back waiting for
    these assholes to act is brutal. maybe if the bought the hay from oil
    field land they would do it. they could still make a buck and save our
    ocean.thank god i don t own a gun. i am angry and sick at the same time
    fucking do something ..........

    I saw this video 2 weeks ago I think, did a search on this method and it was already in use by one of the states for marsh area i believe. So there must be a reason why it has no yet gone bigger scale,

    I am in a hotel thinking maybe the straw acts like the birds soaks up so much oil it sinks. Now it is in the water what if it gets eaten by a lot of fish and it starts working it's way up the food chain. Think about how much oil there is how much grass you would need, then think about how much fish eat each other! The oil in the water and on the surface is epically bad and I am no scientist but this seems simple enough to be possible so to me this may just make it a lot worse. :?

    One last thing I'm in a holiday inn express! :)

    I see what you are saying lgoos420....I think if they had enough people to use "strainers" around the areas, it might work. But the food chain, yeah, not good.
