    yes, caroline glick is the editor-in chief of the jersalem post and is a member of some DC think-tank, i think it's the center for security policy or something, that's who made the video

    Oh yes, Hamas, paragons of enlightened religious tolerance. Please. This is laughable. If you want to know what people in the Middle East really think, ignore what they say to foreigners, which is inevitably packaged with an understanding of what plays well in Western societies. What counts is what is said in their own language to their own people, and what Hamas says in Arabic is a far cry from this nonsense.

    Also, you should get your facts straight. Caroline Glick is not the editor-in-chief of the Jerusalem Post. That would be David Horovitz (not to be confused with the one in the US).

    my bad, she's the deputy managing editor and Senior Fellow for Middle East Affairs of the Washington, DC-based Center for Security Policy (who made the video).....

    from her wikipedia article:

    So I guess this goes for the Israelis as well since they live within the Middle East? Admitting Israel is a nation of liars is a huge step for you, well done.

    Did I say that Israel lies regularly? Yes, if you want to know what Israelis think you would do well to look at what is said in Hebrew. That said, I've found that what is said in Hebrew generally differs very little from what is said in English (I speak both languages). This is much less true of many of the Arab governments in the region, who do a good job of saying all the right liberal buzzwords in English, but whose statements in Arabic are all too often reactionary and racist. To take but one of an infinite number of examples, Yasser Arafat was always careful to say all the right things about peace and coexistence in English, but when he spoke to his own people in Arabic he was very fond of calling for a million martyrs to march on Jerusalem (and remember that martyrs in this context was a euphemism for suicide bombers).

    Well if the Arab leaders in the middle east are liars and the Israeli government seems to always lie, then when will we ever have the truth? When will we/they have peace? Never, why, because they don't want it. Who doesn't want peace, that's for you to decide.
