I am seeing Pixies in my very own, hometown, favorite venue. Very special indeed.

I almost flew out to see one of these shows last year. I'm glad I held out for more US dates.
I'm pretty excited about this one.

I was starting to worry about my concert calendar for the year but it's starting to fill up nicely.

Maybe it's because I saw them live on their first tour back, but they didn't really do it for me live. Just kinda going through the motions. I like their studio stuff, and was beyond excited when I first learned they were reuniting, but I'm not sure if I'd pay what they're asking for to see them again.

Was that last year's tour? I think I remember seeing somewhere Frank Black said they doing this for the money. May explain them just going through the motions if they're just in it for a little cash.

Nah, it was their first reunion tour 04? 05? maybe, I forget, which goes to show how little impact the show had on me.

I wouldn't judge their current tour based on that '04 tour. I went to both. And I came away from the '04 tour with the same opinion. I had heard how great the Pixies were and wanted to see for myself, and I came away thinking, "what's the big deal?"

But the Doolittle show I saw last year was a different story. They play that album live with passion.
