The O.T.O.T.O intro was great because we had no idea what was coming and given 1,000 guesses would never have been able to come up with this song. This was a highlight for me, no doubt.
Didn't catch it on PJ radio, so I looked it up on YouTube. I didn't follow the explanation about the UCONN women's basketball team. What do they have to do with this song?
i wasn't aware i wasn't allowed to write a totally on-topic comment. thanks.
Don't worry about it, write your own topic and if nobody feels the need to stray from the other thread than yours will move down the list. But, I've actually not posted stuff on here too b/c I didn't have the time to use the search to go through all the threads to make sure the topic hadn't been addressed before in order to keep from getting negative comments. To think that somebody would actually do that is very unrealistic and we are all members of this forum and have the right to post what we want to, as long as it is within guidelines of course. And yes, PJ radio is awesome, Christmas came early this year
i plan on ordering boston - msg 2 on boots (not hartford)
and im so glad they played the show on pj radio today. the one song i wanted to hear was that one so after missing it earlier i came back tonight just to hear it.

+ 1?
what's the deal... is this their "warm up" song or something..?
There is nothing on their website that refereneces the mighty VH tune??

The topic has it's very own thread stickied up top. To discuss what is on PJ Radio. That's why it's there.
Why does almost every post I see from you involve you attacking or putting someone down? Not everyone is going to read a 70 + page thread and this message may have allowed some browsing the front page of the poroch to tune in to the station to hear the song. To the Original Poster, thanks for posting!

I've noticed the same thing, dude has a serious ME complex its getting old.

What's O.T.O.T.O?
I've been a huge Van Halen fan from way back, before Hager. Bought all their vinyl records & cassettes. Haven't bought any of their CD's though. Ain't Talkin' Bout Love was my favorite track by them & Hot For Teacher! Totally surprised that night on the relay thread they covered this live!
Listening to the Official Bootleg of the song right now. Wish Mike's guitar was just a tiny bit louder on the mix.

It was such a great moment. Definitely in the running for most random cover ever. I'm not sure it totally comes through on the boot but the entire building went batshit crazy when Mike launched into the opening riff.
I listened to the boot today, being a huge VH and PJ fan, I had chills listening to that song and Ed's banter before. I was at the show, I went apeshit, but was so pleasantly surprised to see how into the whole crowd was!!!
The Hartford show was awesome from beginning to end.
I was the show and was totally shocked when they played this song. Probably one of my all time favorite VH songs...I can't wait to get the boot in the mail so I can listen to it over and over again!
Ever since the show, I've been wondering why it was dedicated to the UConn Women's team. I need help!!

Its because they won a BUNCH of games in a row, like 70+. I hadn't known either, but people who follow sports did - when I mentioned the song and the dedication to the people I teach aerobic class to, they nodded knowingly. They'd all heard about it.
Great rendition of the song - we were front row! I never listened to Van Halen other than what was on the radio, so the song sounded familiar, but I didn't know the name when it started, but Mike sure nailed the VH guitar sound.

Thanks! I know they won 78+ games but I was always wondering why it was dedicated to them. I even go to UConn. It was great to get a dedication to them.

Anyhow, yeah that is cool as hell that PJ covered such a kick as song from one of my most favorite bands growing up in the 80's.
