Lost Lost Dogs

In the inside gatefold of "Lost Dogs," there is a photo of various master tapes. Several bear the names of songs we know and love. It's interesting to see earlier titles for some of these songs ("Pledge A Grievance"; "In Thin Air"; "God's Roll Dice").

Other tapes appear to contain songs that were never released (or finished), or perhaps earlier versions of songs that were later released, or maybe just titles that were completely changed (e.g., "Letter To The Dead" became "Sad"). Does anyone have any idea about the identity of any of these titles?:

"Change"

"Anything In Between"

"Your Face"

"Fallen"

"The Little Wind"

"The Big Wind"

"Morning Song"

"Thrill"
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

There's probably more there to be gleaned, maybe with a magnifying glass.

Another thing I can see is "All I Want Is To Get Next To You," which must be a cover of The Police's "Next To You."

these were all listed on TSIS at one point-think they called it the big word and the little word and I think they had one called change. They figured Fallen was a studio version of falling down.

Just to be clear, the subject of the post wasn't Pearl Jam B-sides generally. It was specifically about the ones listed on the master tapes visible on the inside cover of "Lost Dogs."

I'll check out gremmie.net for "Anything In Between." For the record, "Foldback," "Thunderclap" and "Harmony" are instrumentals that played under the video montages on "Touring Band 2000."

anything in between is one of my favorites. musically it kicks your face in. lyrically, maybe ed's improvving, but it fits the music. all the others listed are great, too. i found gremmie.net a few years back. i used to have a bootleg way back in 1994 called the five musketeers (also on gremmie.net/basement). i've always had my suspicions about mystery not being pj or eddie. it's currently not in my collection. everything else is. the ed stuff with other artists-face of love, devil doll, poor girl, etc- i made a mix of. great stuff. including everything lised on gremmie, that gives us about 12 studio records.

"Mystery" was by the band Blind Horse, which briefly included Greg Gilmore (MLB) on drums. Why it was included on so many 90's PJ bootlegs is beyond me...

I had the deciphering when lost dogs was release, and I found all theses ...

    New Light Years
    Compatibly
    Change Changed
    Mad
    Cool Jam
    Smoke Ring
    The Morning Song
    Thrill
    The Big Word
    The Little Word
    Fallen
    Your Face
    No Cursing
    Pledge A
    Change

and on PJ20's CD, we could almost do the same, but it's more small !

thank you for putting that to rest 16 years later! it never sounded pj or eddie enough for me. i knew that hold your head up was mlb or malfunkshun. the ed/doors songs on that mix suck quality wise. i had another bootleg back then called ultra rare trax that had the soundboards. i also had new songs. that was the first time i'd heard hold me or hard to imagine. i'm so glad gremmie.net is out there.
