i saw folks post long road and footsteps
and i ask myself, "these are underrated!?"
cause i love'em!!!
and if they are underrated, then hey, like...they shouldnt be
and fuck me if I say somethin you dont wanna hear, fuck me!
and fuck me if you only hear what you wanna hear
fuck me...if I care...but im not leavin here
on a side note a few years back my wife introduced me to one of her friends who was a big PJ fan, he told me about his favorite song, but said it isn't a very well known PJ song. i said try me, im a huge PJ fan, been to lots of shows, have all the albums and lots of boots, he says................YELLOW LEDBETTER!!! i had to laugh and almost fell out of my chair and my wife is a casual fan and even she knew the song. my wife still jokes about it every time we hear ledbetter.
What do you think are Pearl Jam's most underrated songs?
All or None
All Those Yesterday's
Brain of J.
Can't Keep
Down
Green Disease
Habit
Last Soldier (was that song a Pearl Jam original?)
Leatherman
Parting Ways
Rival
Ten: Oceans, Garden
Vs: W.M.A, Rats
Vitalogy: Last Exit, Spin the Black Circle, Not For You, Tremor Christ, Satans Bed
No Code: Sometimes, In My Tree, Red Mosquito
Yield: Faithful, No Way, Pilate, All Those Yesterdays
Binaural: God's Dice, Rival, Soon Forget
Riot Act: Save You, Crop Duster, Ghost, Get Right, Green Disease, Help Help, Bushleaguer, 1/2 Full, All or None
Lost Dogs: All Night, Sad, Alone, Education, Undone, Hold On, Hard to Imagine, Wash, Brother
Avocado: Severed Hand, Parachutes, Big Wave, Army Reserve
Some great songs on both Riot Act and Lost Dogs. I don't know why some keep bashing Riot Act...I fucking love it. Toss up between Riot Act and Yield as my favorite album. And Lost Dogs is amazing, minus the ever awful Last Kiss. A Lost Dogs tour would be something special, eh?!!
I guess how "under rated" someone thinks a song is depends on how highly regarded they believe it should be....so, in that case, my vote goes to Long Road. One of the most amazing songs ever written...it could never get all the love it deserves
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow
They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
Now, i would say God's Dice. Wow, looking at the list of soungs off of Riot Act the guy before me did, that album was really horrible. I can really see why some people just don't like it that much.

Parachutes
Two very Beatle influenced gems!
runner up: army reserve
Also 1/2 Full, Leavin Here (even though its a cover), and Army Reserve
i was thinking of I Got Shit, i love that song too, but i guess i listen to it too much to think of it as underrated.
Parachutes (Something about this song just makes me happy...gorgeous)
Man of the Hour (The way this song builds up into incredible sadness.....)
Rival (Powerful stuff and not sure why many dislike it)
Hard To Imagine (Starts off slow, but builds into a rage)
Off He Goes (This song is beautiful. It screams the soul of the band)
Marker in the Sand (The way Ed sings this is incredible. Emotion and grief seems to pour from his voice)
All or None (Clearly the best song on Riot Act. I was lucky enough to see this at MSG in 2003)
Cropduster (This song seems to be hated by some, but I have no idea why. This is definitely Matt's best song, and is a soothing song)
Rats (Thank God they played this again in 2006. Such a great song)
I Got Shit (I'm not sure this is underrated, but I had to mention it, since it's my favorite PJ song. This song defines the band in my opinion)

Sad (powerful lyrics and still miffed why it didn't make Binaural but NAIS did...and was the first single...Yikes!)
