Taking a closer look at all the breweries...you've got quite a bit to choose from in Illinois.

God, I love micro-breweries. :thumbup:

Looks like I've got some serious drinking to do next time I find myself in Illinois.

i'm going to go out on a limb and say it's over rated. ticket prices are $45 per head for the 4 hour event. no way i can drink $45 worth of beer in 4 hours. That'd be like 24 bottles of microbrew from the store.

there are a few around. most of Chicagolands that i've had are over rated. Goose Island is the biggest over rated offender. Lucky Monk is very average.


of the ones i've had on the list

Bells is excellent
Great lakes is good
new belgum sucks
sam adams is the most over rated "micro" brew in the entire United States
Leinenkugal is ok
Sierra NV is good
Magic hat is good
Iron city is meh
new holland is ok
Stevens point was good
Half acre was ok
Negra Modella was the worst beer that i've ever had

I didn't look at the price, that is a litt excessive. I'd say $20-$25 would be at tops what I'd be willing to spend...but really, i think $15 would be a fair price.

I think I could drink $15 of beer in 4 hours.
