is it worth gettin the cd as far as sound quality?
i've only downloaded.
Flac & CD .. are the same in audio quality. There is no difference. Just CD is the physical copy with artwork, casing, the whole shabang.
mp3's .. that's another story! Compressed audio.
Yes, I inadvertently started a thread on this Friday. The result is that I still like getting the CD w/ artwork, but flac is the same quality and iTunes sucks (I was actually already aware of that part).
I know the first series of these was for the tour in 2000, and then the next series I recall was 2003. Did the bootleg program go on hiatus from 2004-2007? I know they came back for 2008-present, but were boots made for those middle years/tours of this decade? I clearly must have been sleeping at the wheel for those years if they did make boots, but even in all my searches for various ones on ebay etc I only ever find shows from '00, '03, '08, '09, and now '10...with nothing in the middle.
If anyone can confirm for me that they do not exist, that would actually be somewhat liberating. My next question of course would then be if anyone has found decent ones for download around the web for any of those years. I suspect that tapers became very infrequent under the spoiled assumption that we'd just be able to buy the boot in the future for any show we ever attended, which I think has made them much harder to come by...but who knows.

2005 and 2006 they did. I don't think on CD; they might have been just downloads.

www.pearljambootlegs.org would be the best site to get bootlegs.
