Stunning and simply awesome. Apparently it was the largest audience he'd played in front of (5000). It was jaw droppingly brilliant from start to finish. Hopefully he'll continue in this size venue. Without doubt the best blues guitarist on the planet.

No hammy pally youtube but this will have to do.

I've seen Joe about 10 times. (3 of my friends are obsessed with him) Haven't seen him since 2007. He hasn't really been in the USA or touring over here as extensively. I've met him a few times as well. Nice guy, it is amazing the riffs he can make come out of that six string, (It's like he's playing two blues guitar parts in a band- yet it's just him; and they are a 3 piece band. He is Amazing. Haven't gotten an album since "slow gin."

There is an amazing tune called "deep water Lullaby" by Jim suhler &Monkey beat. (Jim Suhler plays in George Thorogood's band) when they tour. Joe plays lead guitar / the solo on "deep water lullaby" check it out on itunes. It's a great tune.

He's back in the US in November and December. He seems to have been touring Europe for a while now, Hammersmith was the 2nd time I saw him in 6 months. Black Rock his latest album is good, I think I have all of them. Hope you get to see him again soon.
