Does anyone know why Leatherman was not on lost dogs?

Not that I'm losing sleep over it or anything, but I have always found it a little weird that they didn't include leatherman on lost dogs. It's still played live, it's an original song, and it actually appears as a b-side on a single. I know there are plenty of unreleased pj songs if you dig down, but this one doesn't really require any digging it all. Any way if anyone has a clear reason why let me know.

    Cause after hearing it live for the second time at Newark, it is one cool cat of a song :)

    In fact, at the present time I've seen it the first time it was played and also the last time it was played :)

    I still unfortunately haven't heard it live, it was probably the first pearl jam song I learned on guitar. I was hoping they brought it out for one of the msg shows.

    What could we possibly get on the Vs re-issue that's not out already? I was only expecting YLB, Hard To Imagine and Alone.

    I've been wondering that myself, or when it is coming out! Haha. I was suprised they didn't include more of the ten b-sides on it's rerelease, I know they were on lost dogs but it felt incomplete to represent a whole "era"

    there was an article on red mosquito a little while back talking about the vs reissue and mike mentioned there were a few songs that they wanted to go back and put lyrics on or something....i think one of the titles was like indian beetle or something like that.

    as for ten, it would of been good to include the original hold on before the vocal changes i guess...?

    Merkinball was an EP to go with MirrorBall right? And why was last kiss on lostdogs when angel and leatherman was not? leatherman was the c-side to Given To Fly

    If they ever get the reissues released i would expect Leatherman to be on the Yield reissue. Along with Leatherman II.
