I might be just me but I really cant hear Boom playing on many of the songs even though it looks like he is. Other than the obvious Crazy Mary Solos or Love Boat Captain and a couple other tunes it just seems like he wailing but its not making it to the mix, thoughts?

I agree but maybe that's the point. Other than the obvious lead parts the keys seem to be just to fill in any gaps in the sound to produce the wal (which are pretty few and far between with 3 guitars...)l. It'd sound a bit 80s if the keys were brought to the forefront.

Yeah they just turn him up in the mix when they need him like in LBC, or the end of Marker in the Sand, etc. Otherwise they just have him turned down to the point of no one hearing him. I think they do it just because it would be better than having him walk on and off stage throughout the night.
And before his first step... He's off again...

If they kept him turned-up all night, it would make for a very different show. That's for sure.

I don't think that would be a better show, but that's just me. I like how they use Boom's talents in the live presentation. It's just right, in my opinion.

I don't think that's the case. I've seen him (both live and on quite a few DVD's) sit between songs when he's not needed. I don't know if they really do much w/the mixing at all.

I thought this thread was going to be about the upcoming Boom solo tour.

Really? Huh. I guess I just don't watch Boom enough.
