tomorrow it will be winter

the ground wet
beneath my feet chills
me to the bone

the wind wraps
around my wasted body
as you once did

as trees whisper
the leaves dance in reply
and i think of you

your absence and
disregard humbled me once
but now leave me resolute

the sun pushes
through the rainclouds
to warm my soul

and i now know
what i didnt before

i no longer need you
and i can live.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

    thanks everypeoples...

    its been a bit of a downtime these past months with my writing. this one came about when i was outside in the driveway barefoot. a breeze whipped up and then i got to thinking about stuff. i felt the need to write it down, which i rarely have done recently.
