NY Post Article...makes some good points?
Don't get me wrong, I love this band. I will travel and spend plenty of $$ to see them no matter what. However, I think the Post article makes brings up some valid constructive criticism.
I think a large screen would be sick. If you aren't in the first 5-10 rows you can't really see details. Man, it would be awesome to see Eddie's expressions or actually see Mike's fingers during a solo. It doesnt have to be anything extravagant. When I saw Bruce Springsteen on his tour they had a cool screen with cameras shooting different angles. It kind of felt like we were in a video and I think it helps draw the crowd in more.
I agree with the audio sounding muddy on several songs. I traveled to the Cleveland show this year and quite a few songs had a muddy sound to them. I thought it was maybe just the Q's sound system but it sounds like it happened at alot of other shows. I went to both NYC shows in 08 and I thought the sound there was great so I thought it was interesting to hear that it was muddy there this year. It was weird that some songs sounded extremely clear as well in Cleveland.

I am not sure I agree about the screen issue. I have seen PJ 10 times, and only 2 times that I know screens were used, and one was Lolla. At the arena shows, I kind of like that PJ doesnt use shows. That way you can watch the guys do their thing and decide who you want to look at. If you need to see a close up of someone, google them. I don't know the answer to this, but I have wondered, back in say 1969, when the Stones and Zeppelin played the Garden, did they use screens? I am guessing not. I think some people have just gotten so used to them that they expect them, but I appreciate that Pearl Jam has kept it old school when it comes to their shows. It's about the music.words seem so out of place.
