Am I nuts?

I just bought an Into the Wild picture disc today.

I already have an ITW LP. Been wanting the picture disc for a little bit now but couldn't afford it. Still probably can't afford it but I guess I will deal with that problem later. Figured the price of the regular LP keeps creeping up and up every few months or so that the picture disc will be out of sight in a few years.

Thinking about framing it like the platinum records you see on the walls of radio stations or record label offices. I play all of my vinyl but since I own the regular LP I might pass on spinning this beauty. Haven't decided yet.

So am I nuts?

    When i bought mine, the seller recommended me not to play it, i didn't asked why, but since i have a regular ITW why do i need to play the PDK too is not like is going to sound better or is going to appear an hologram of the movie...?

    My recomemdation is play it and let me know what happens ;)

    I bought my ITW and Benny Hall both sealed and didn't think twice about tearing them open and playing the shit out of them. But like you I have the regular ITW so I probably will pass on spinning this one. I bought it strictly as a collectible. With my luck the stylus tip on my turntable would break and the record would be junk. Not going to take the chance.

    These are almost impossible to come by, I got one in a trade but I was curious to know where you tracked one down and how much is cost?

    Generally picture discs are considered to have inferior sound to regular vinyl, so don't play it.

    Yeah, I'm not playing it. I have an ITW vinyl that I play and a CD. No need to spin this. Collectible only.
