I was at both MSG's in 2003 and 2010. Those are the only times I saw them there along with many other venues. Night 2 in 03 was something special but night 2 this year gets the nod from me. Slow Lukin > BRL was a sick 1-2 suprise. That place is just magical with PJ on the stage and I can only hope for a DVD. All I know is I will never miss another MSG show.
1996 - Ft Lauderdale
1998 - West Palm Beach 1
2000 - West Palm Beach 1&2
2003 - WPB,Tampa,Atlanta,Camden 1&2,MSG 1&2, Boston 3,Hershey Park
2004 - Asheville, Kissimmee
2008 - West Palm Beach,Tampa,Columbia,Virginia Beach, Mansfield 1&2
2010 - Hartford,Boston,Newark, MSG 1&2
2011 - PJ20 1&2, Costa Rica 2013 - Wrigley,Brooklyn 1&2,Seattle 2014 - Denver,Mountain View 1&2 2015 - Bogata, Mexico City 2016 - Ft Lauderdale,Miami,Tampa,NYC 1&2,Telluride,Fenway 1&2,Wrigley 1&2
Night 2 - 2003: GREAT show - All or None was a horrible vibe killer (my opinion )between Glorified G and Do The Evolution in the first encore - my only complaint. Know Your Rights in the 2nd encore was outstanding - great night in that building...
That being said, night 1 was a better setlist and slightly better energy - hence the DVD
Night 2 - 2010: Not a misplaced song in the entire 34 song set...energy was at levels I'd never been a part of (only 17 shows - but some greats) - Hunger Strike, BRY, Sweet Lew, Slow Lukin, Push me Pull me, Kick Out The Jams, 5 song blast outta the gate, Betterman, Present Tense, RVM, etc...a show for the ages (as evidenced by 29 pages of fanviews, 10 more pgs than the next @ 19 -Boston)...honestly, I cannot wait to relive this thru the boots (c'mon Kufala!!!! )...still can't shake the feeling, aura, energy, happiness of being there - so amazing what a friggin special night...
Night 1 - 2010: Unbelievable show and setlist, amazing energy...if not for the energy edge and rarities in Night 2, would be top 2 show of the 2010 leg thus far (again, my opinion - Boston being the other)...
Have to confidently say 2010 has the edge over 2003...here's the thing: everyone who made the decision to attend that night 2 concert - final night of a leg - in the Garden - just knew it would be special...you felt it at the Houndstooth, on the merch lines, in the lobby of the Hotel Penn, in front of the Garden...just a perfect storm, really. Regardless of setlist, that night was predestined to be great. This band always has (and hopefully always will have) an amazing ability to connect to the energy of that nights audience...the great bands always know how to tap into this...It is beyond evident NYC, especially the Garden, brings out something special in the stars...Jordan, Kobe, LeBron, Gretzky, Elvis, Sinatra, Ali, The Dead, Bruce, Phish, Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, etc...

Magical....there really aren't words to describe seeing a show there. I tried describing it to people since the show, but it truly is one of those things where you have to be there. I've been to around 20 PJ shows at various places around the country (although never Europe) and nothing even comes close to comparing to seeing PJ at MSG. I went into my vacation in NYC with extremely high expectations and it shattered every one of those expectations. That place is just incredible. I thought it couldn't get any better after night 1. Boy was I wrong.

and we all know '10 was crazxy good,
but the 1998 shows werent chopped liver either,
they neeed to be considered when talking classic Pearl Jam MSG Shows .
