This does not mean I'm going to start covering Filter, I think 3 non Seattle bands is enough already, but I had to post this because of how funny it was.

that is pretty funny. Got to give you some kudos man. I don't have the guts to directly tell an artist that I dislike a song of theirs. It is funny how mad he got at first and then towards the end, he like lightens up and is like "it's all good." LOL :D

    Thanks for posting. :D

Eh, you did seem kind of standoffish at first. Yeah, I like that you directly told an artist you didn't like their song, and were honest, but you came off as kind of high-and-mighty. But you both did lighten up at the end, so no harm done.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

Yeah I might have come off strong at first but it's mainly because I was disgusted at how bad the new Filter single was.

Did it come off as high and mighty? Perhaps, but I think you were fair in stating that they could do better b/c, in all honesty, they could. I've liked a lot of their stuff. That song, however, is not good no matter how you try to spin it. I hope it isn't indicative of the rest of the stuff on the album, but half of the time I have hard time understanding why bands (labels?) choose the singles they do.

  • If someone twittered me with that first statement about something as personal as a song I wrote, I would have told you off too!

I guess, he ended up being cool in the end though. Hopefully the whole interaction makes him try harder on the next album. Personally I think he should take a Trent Reznoresque break to creatively refuel.
