Fenway Faithful and I were good friends in elementary school and jr high in the early to mid 90's. He went to a private school in high school and I stayed in the public system and somewhere along the way we lost touch. It wasn't until a few PM's back and forth on here about 15 years later that we realized who we were and that ironically enough we live about a mile from each other.
This board is the reason we are friends again so it definately is more than just the music.
It's a wonderful thing. Well said buddy. So much more than just the music. It's not about the songs that are played, the venue's acoustics or what the poster looks like. It's about the blessing of reconnecting with old friends and meeting new friends along the way. The last week has been some of the best times of my life.
Thank you to Erik for making this thread."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250 -

The country's going to shit anyway.... might as well give him a shot.
At least we can be certain 'something' will be legalized and then he doesn't have to get hit up for it at every show.
Love ya Erik! Miss ya!0 -

Wonderful post, Erik. I have been having this conversation over and over the last two weeks...I just feel very blessed to have this group of people in my life as well.
I am so glad we met, and am thankful for each and every one of my PJ peeps.
Take care, my brotha and I am sorry for the loss of my avatar.
I still want you all to "take care"--I am just damn tired of typing it.

*smooches E* I too have been saying this over and over the past couple of weeks. Philly opened the Pearl Fam gates for me and a whole truckload of awesome people made their way into my life. The experience of the past couple of weeks is beyond Philly and beyond anything I can adequately explain to anyone outside this community. Seeing PJ is always amazing, but the community elevates it to a whole new level. I have made close connections that I know will last a lifetime, people I love very dearly. I swear I spent half the shows looking around smiling at my friends rocking out around the arenas.
I was a weepy mess before MSG2 started cause I knew it was the end (for now) and I didn't want to say goodbye to the band, but mostly I didn't want to say goodbye to the travelling Faithful. PJ fans are the best! An incredible group of loyal, generous, spirited and accepting people. I am better for knowing you all. Love you guys
