    if you would read the article you would know that they are creating a disturbance and even causing fights in the classroom...school is where we go to learn, not waste everybody else's time by disrupting the learning environment....at least that is how it was when i went to school....

    I wish I would of invented these "silly bands" they are just rubber bands in different "shapes" and the kids love to wear and trade them - such a simple idea :D I'm done buying these things - my son's class have banned them too - ;)

    I am a second grade teacher and at my school we capitalized on the craze. We bought them in bulk and sold them to the students for double the price! We were raising money for a good cause though, all money went to the American Cancer Society. The kids could care less about that, they were just stoked they could buy silly bandz when all the stores around were sold out. We got our bulk shipment at a perfect time.

    i was 5 when those came out. i had bout 20 of them. ten for each arm haha. i remember in 8th grade yo yos were banned cause everyone in the school had them. junior high was fun.
