I wish Mike would play Yellow Ledbetter...

...without all the effects. Stripped down to maybe just reverb, like the studio version. I love YL live, but I'd like to see him return to a stripped down, nice YL. :)

Agreed...love the reverb drenched studio version.

I also Agree... I was excited when the Benny Hall disc came out because I was thinking it would be a toned down and more "intimate" Ledbetter.

I was a little dissapointed to hear that it was the normal "stadium" Ledbetter. That would've been the perfect venue from them to do that

Has Mike ever played YL like the studio way? The early Ledbetters aren't too different from today.

Check out the version from the Tibetan Freedom Concert. It is my absolute favorite.

I agree... I would love to see Mike play YLB without all the effects. Just some clean, face-melting guitar work.

the version in Berkeley, April 8th, when Mike showed up to Ed's show was like that, Mike used one of Ed's guitars, no pedalbox, nice change.

    In The Present Tense

Go to the 1997 bootleg section. It's available in MP3 and FLAC.

I haven't listened to studio GTF in ages ... refresh my memory ... What's the big difference?

Intro is clean and sounds better. Go listen to it.

I think the best live version is the one on the Daughter single. The tracklisting is as follows:

    1-Daughter (studio)

    2-Blood (Live: awesome version)

3-Yellow Ledbetter (Live: slowed down version)

I don't know. It just sounds so much better the way they used to play it.
