Just listened to this boot and I am so thrilled that the high energy of both the band and the crowd that night are well represented with the recording. What a great sounding boot. It was a wonderful show and this bootleg shows it!

Agreed! Although these seem better than 2008, which was a travesty. 2006, 2003, and even 2000 are definitely the best sounding boots, I am not sure what has happened in the last few years. I think the word I used to describe Philly and some others was "distant" and "tinney." Not full and bright like past boots. I just heard Crazy Mary on PJ Radio from Seattle 2000 and boy u can really hear everyone soooo good! I was amazed how well I could hear Stone's guitar. Here's to hoing things get better. As someone else who attended that show, I could not agree more! I'm so very glad that they included more of the crowd on this bootleg! And I also love that I'm catching stuff that Eddie said that I didn't catch at the show. For example, I totally missed that during Given to Fly, he said "He made it to Columbus" rather than "He made it to the ocean"!Columbus, OH 6/24/03

I am still extremely happy that we are getting official boots, but I agree that the sound is a tad "off". The different channels blend together more now, into a wall of noise ... I like the 2000 and 2003 boots, where you could distinctly hear Mike, Stone, and Ed's guitars. More headphone friendly. I used to focus on Mike or Stone's channel, depending on the tune and my mood. Now, it takes more effort to hear the details. About the only thing I do appreciate on the 2008/2009 boots is Matt's drum sound, which is pretty solid. I am still buying all the boots, but perhaps the sound could be cleaned up a bit in 2010?0

Yeeeeees! For Columbus!!
Long overdue.
What an experience being there and getting to hear this amazing boot is just lovely.0 -
i couldn't have articulated it better! everything seems so blended together. i thought the 2006 boots sounded great, could the sub-par post 2006 boots be because they moved from basecamp to kufala? i don't know who mixes them but that would be my guess...rebornFixer wrote:I am still extremely happy that we are getting official boots, but I agree that the sound is a tad "off".
