Smoking toddler 'too unfit to play with friends'
http://news.ninemsn.com.au//world/10586 ... th-friends
A video has emerged of an Indonesian toddler who is hooked on cigarettes.
The footage shows two-year-old Ardi Rizal reclining with a cigarette in his mouth. He waves it around, and draws back deeply on the cigarette.
Ardi's parents claim that the child is addicted to nicotine.
His mother Diana 26, told Britain's Sun newspaper she felt powerless to deny the child.
"He's totally addicted," she said.
"If he doesn't get his cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick."
Ardi Rizal smoked his first cigarette when he was 18 months old and now smokes 40 cigarettes a day.
The overweight toddler is deft at blowing smoke rings, but is so unfit he cannot play with other children.
"I'm not worried about his health and— he looks healthy," his father told reporters.
There has been an increase in the number of smokers aged between four and nine in Indonesia over recent years.Authorities have blamed aggressive advertising and smoking parents.
According to the Sun, Indonesian officials have offered to buy the family a car if the boy quits.
I would like to see the parents charged with child abuse. This is just shocking, but I bet the tobacco companies are laughing all the way to the bank.

This is one of those stories where you are just at a loss for words...
"His mother Diana 26, told Britain's Sun newspaper she felt powerless to deny the child."
You're his fucking mother... and he's two! If you think that you are powerless to stop a 2 year old from something, then your life is going to be hell when he's older.
There is no reason why child abuse charges shouldn't be filed against these worthless parents. My whole life

This is just sad, but am I missing something here. This should be illegal for a parent to do this, if this continues I'd like or maybe not to know what condition this child's health would be like by age 12.

I know... I'm a horrible, HORRIBLE person... because I laughed about it. I know I'm already going to Hell because I've done way more worst things in my life... but, to me... it was kinda funny. Funny in the way Sarah Silverman is funny... I know I shouldn't be laughing... but, I am.
...
Anyway... How the fuck does an 18 month old get started smoking cigarettes? I started smoking when I was a senior in high school. Mostly because my stoner friends all smoked and that's what we'd do when we were cutting 'Music Appreciation' class (is was so-called appreciation of shit like 'Camptown Races' and Broadway show tunes). But, at 18 months... this fucking toddler could flick open a Zippo or fire up a match? The fucking guy couldn't change his own diapers, but could huff a pack of Luck Strikes?
And no fucking shit none of the others parents want their kids playing with this kid. Waving a fucking lit cigarette in the sandbox... smoking during nap time.
And his parents... what gems they must be. I never knew there were meth labs in India.
Yeah... it's fucked up.. but, still... kinda funny.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

I have to be honest people... my avatar is from the picture below. I photoshopped out the cigarette because I knew our son's lifestyle choices would be looked down upon from the people on this board.
You over-reaching government liberals always want to tell us how to live... my son loves marboro's, how is that hurting any of you people? My whole life
